"The Taliban could emerge from the hostage-taking with enhanced political legitimacy for negotiating successfully with a foreign government"

this is followed by

"The Taliban originally kidnapped 23 South Koreans as they traveled by bus from Kabul to the former Taliban stronghold of Kandahar on July 19. In late July, the militants killed two male hostages, and they released two women earlier this month as gesture of goodwill. Another 12 were freed Wednesday."

so thats considered negotiating successfully? very good. so im to take it i can know get in a fight with my wives family, kill the mom, say "no problem" to mia and ashley, then just give up on the fight all together, and now im considered a "successfull negotiator"

now im all for killing koreans, or whoever else is running around inside my country as its being occupied, but is there ever going to be a time where we look at what has just happened, and view it clearly" Im thinking that if i sent 23 of my people somewhere and then they handed me back 21 of them, i would get the 21 behind me and then start shooting everyone that wasnt korean.....not say...."successfull negotiation"
